This week on the show we’re joined by Cristina Antelo, ESQ – the Founder and CEO of Ferox Strategies. Cristina has a very interesting story. She may be the only lobbyist in D.C. that made the transition from Wall Street to K Street. Before getting into government affairs, she worked in investment banking for JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.
Cristina has also worked at two of the top lobbying shops on the Hill – DLA Piper and The Podesta Group – before founding her own firm.
How has she done it? Hustle.
Cristina tells us a great story about the incredible amount of work she put in to building her network on Capitol Hill while practicing law and billing 2000 hours a year as an associate at DLA Piper.
She also discusses what it’s been like to build her own firm, and what it takes to be a great lobbyist in today’s day-and-age. Hint: You need more than just access to make an impact.
