Internship

We are growing rapidly: our current clients include major corporations, commercial real estate firms, small-to-mid size technology firms, and local economic development organizations. Our areas of focus span from homeland border security to tax and trade policy, environment and agriculture, workforce development, appropriations, and telecommunications.

An intern at Ferox Strategies will collaborate with full time staff to perform research and writing supporting the firm’s clients, business development, and social media and marketing. Our firm produces more written products than the typical lobbying firm, running the gamut from informal social media posts to client-facing legislative analyses. For our marketing material, the intern will also develop visual content such as social media posts or presentations. The intern may also assist in planning and holding firm events as well as assisting in office administration.

The right candidate will be interested in learning more about the government relations industry, be open-minded to work in a bipartisan office with sometimes controversial clients, and remain flexible to thrive a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Successful candidates will also hold the following skills:

• Strong writing abilities and verbal communication skills are essential;
• Ability to synthesize complex concepts into plainer, concise language;
• Familiarity with federal public policy. Experience with legislative research tools like Congress.gov, Bloomberg Government preferred;
• Prior experience with Congress, the executive branch, or federal policy will be a strong advantage.
