YADIRA GUZMAN – POLICY ANALYST

Yadira Guzman serves as a Policy Analyst for Ferox Strategies, tracking legislation, researching federal funding opportunities, and summarizing policy on behalf of the firm’s clients. Her portfolio focuses on technology, telecommunications, and immigration issues.

Yadira joins Ferox after a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Legislative Fellow placement with Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV). There, she supported Housing and Banking portfolios in correlation with the Senator’s work on the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, honing her knowledge of committee procedures and the federal legislative process.

Yadira brings invaluable research and analytical writing skills from her previous engagements with various nonprofit organizations. Through these experiences, she conducted mixed-method research, data analysis, and authored works centered on child welfare, education, immigration, workforce, economics, and housing. Additionally, Yadira co-published research on the impacts of redlining policies highlighting inequities and gaps between wealth and homeownership.

Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Yadira obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), later pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the University of Minnesota. Outside of the office, Yadira enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and trying new restaurants.
