LAUREN DOEPKE – MANAGER OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Lauren Doepke serves as a Government Affairs Manager at Ferox Strategies where she supports organizations in navigating complex policy and business
landscapes with creativity, strategy, and precision. She manages a diverse portfolio of nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies, and multinational
corporations across sectors, including waste management, manufacturing, food, supply chain, mobility, and professional development.
Lauren excels at transforming challenges into actionable strategies that advance client goals. Whether guiding clients through federal engagement or developing innovative communications and stakeholder strategies, she brings a thoughtful, adaptive approach that blends analytical insight with creative problem-solving.
In addition to her client work, Lauren collaborates closely with senior leadership on marketing and business development, strengthening the firm’s brand and expanding its reach. Her work reflects a balance of big-picture vision and attention to detail – qualities that enable her to build meaningful partnerships and deliver results in fast-moving policy environments.
An environmental scientist by training, Lauren is passionate about bridging science and policy to drive sustainable outcomes. A 2026 Oxford-Certified Global Climate Strategies and Solutions Programme candidate and 2023 Climatebase Fellow, she deepens her knowledge of the ever-changing environment and energy landscape, leveraging this learning alongside her roles in nonprofit, higher education, and corporate spaces. Before joining Ferox, Lauren gained experience in sustainability, community engagement, and environmental policy through a Sustainability Coordinator position at Miami University, where she contributed to an institutional climate strategy.
She also interned with the Ohio EPA-funded Mill Creek Alliance, assisting in the execution of a citizen science program and presenting the State of the Mill Creek to the Spring Grove Village Council. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Earth Science and Sustainability from Miami University, and is currently a Master of Environmental Science candidate. During her time at the University, she contributed to research on micro- and nanoscale industrial contaminants in consumer goods, the development of a makeup spectrometry database for evidence analysis in human trafficking cases, and best practice carbon offset projects
to attain carbon neutrality.
Outside of her professional work, Lauren is deeply engaged in mentorship and leadership development. She volunteers with the Junior League of Washington, George Washington University Women in Business, and Youth250 Bureau Advisory Board, cultivating the next generation of civic and business leaders. In her free time, Lauren loves all things outdoor recreation and enjoys planning trips for her friends.
