EMMA KNUTTY– POLICY ANALYST

Emma Knutty is a Policy Analyst at Ferox Strategies, where she tracks legislation, researches federal funding opportunities, and summarizes policy on behalf of the firm's clients. Her portfolio spans technology, telecommunications, immigration, and defense, with a focus on international affairs.

Emma brings a strong foundation in research and analytical writing developed through her academic career, where she authored policy briefings and examined complex global policy and socioeconomic frameworks. She has collaborated with a distinguished range of professionals, from former UN ambassadors to ex-CIA analysts, gaining substantial experience engaging with both domestic and international decision-makers and translating nuanced policy for diverse audiences. Her published research examines how the U.S. Intelligence Community can leverage advanced AI to strengthen intelligence collection, alongside the ethical considerations that accompany such integration.

Emma is no stranger to Ferox, having previously interned with the firm across a broad range of client work. During that tenure, she also served as a fellow at the DACOR Bacon House, a program fostering foreign affairs dialogue between U.S. foreign service officers and the public. Working alongside active and retired foreign service officers, she engaged with and advocated on some of the most pressing challenges in U.S. foreign policy and defense, including the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and emerging economic opportunities across the Western Hemisphere.

A Columbus, Ohio native, Emma earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a certificate in Global Health and a minor in Hispanic Language and Culture. She went on to complete a Master's degree in International Affairs at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. Outside the office, Emma enjoys discovering DC's restaurant scene, traveling with friends, cooking, and rooting for her favorite Ohio sports teams.
